Margaret E. "Peg" Hager, 80, of Mars, formerly of Daytona Beach, Fla., died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant Cranberry, Cranberry Township.

Born March 16, 1927, in Middlesex Township, she was the daughter of Loyal J. and Leona B. Reedy Ferguson.

She had worked for the Butler Eagle Printery and then had been a secretary at the St. John Lutheran Church in Mars for more than 20 years. She later was the assistant director of volunteers at St. John's Lutheran Home in Mars, before retiring to Daytona Beach in 1979.

Mrs. Hager was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Mars and the Mars Chapter 271 Order of the Eastern Star. She also belonged to the Sensational Seniors in Daytona Beach.

She was an avid card player and belonged to many card clubs.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence V. "Bud" Hager, who died March 25, 1989.

Surviving are a son, James "Jim" Hager and his wife, Denise, of Mars; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Nancy) McCormick of Mars; grandchildren, Mrs. Jaime (Erin) Weaver of Butler, Eric and Alex Hager and Katie McCormick, all of Mars, and Todd McCormick and his fiancée, Lisa Ogborne, of Oakdale; and a great-grandchild, Giovanni Sunseri.

<B>HAGER </B>— Friends of Margaret E. "Peg" Hager, who died Tuesday, April 24, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave. Mars. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. The Rev. Robert Rigg, her church pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at the Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.Memorials may be made to the Adams Area Fire District, P.O.
