Vargo

Ann Vargo, 94, formerly of Highfield and Newhaven Court, died Saturday morning at Sunnyview Home after an illness.

Born Jan. 11, 1913, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Michael and Ann Singlar Shedio.

She was homemaker and a member of the Christ Community United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Vargo was a graduate of Butler High School.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Marilyn) Pesci and Mrs. James (Ruth) Bryan, both of Butler; nine grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She also is survived by four sisters, Helen Varhola of Carlisle and Susan, Irene and Zella Shedio, all of Butler; and a brother, Albert Shedio of Butler.

Her husband, Nicholas Vargo, whom she married Nov. 4, 1933, died June 23, 1995. She also was preceded in death by a son, a sister and two brothers.

<B>VARGO</B> — Friends of Ann Vargo, who died Saturday, April 28, 2007, will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Jay Bryan Funeral Home</B>, 443 Main St., Prospect. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at The Presbyterian Church of Prospect with her grandson, the Rev. Thomas Pesci, pastor of the East Brady Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA Hospice of Butler.
