Robert Lee Sarver

Robert Lee Sarver, 85, of Chautauqua, N.Y., died Friday at St. Vincent Hospital, Erie.

Born in Sarver, Aug. 24, 1921, he was the son of Ferd T. and Celia Kuhnert Sarver.

He was a graduate of Freeport High School and of the Thacker Academy in Western Pennsylvania. For 35 years, he owned and operated a successful business in Butler County.

Mr. Sarver served in the Army Air Corps in Africa and Italy during World War II.

He was a Lutheran and a member of Masonic and veteran organizations.

His favorite pastimes were helping others and caring for many pets, and he will be fondly remembered as a loving, giving person.

Surviving are his beloved wife, Alma J. Singer Sarver, whom he married in 1944; an adored daughter, Cherie S. Touchet of Saxonburg, and three sisters, Bettie Curtin of New Jersey, Beryl Harrington of Virginia and Shirley Pavlik of Pennsylvania.

A sister, Bernice Sontum, is deceased.

<B>SARVER </B>— There will be no visitation and services for Robert Lee Sarver, who died Friday, April 27, 2007, will be private.Memorials may be made to the Chautauqua County Humane Society, 2825 Strunk Road, Jamestown, NY 14701; the Chautauqua Fund, P.O. Box 28, Chautauqua, NY 14722; or to a charity of one's choice.The <B>Freay Funeral Home</B>, Mayville, N.Y., is in charge of arrangements.
