Pisani, Mumaw

Laura and William Mumaw

Sarver residents Laura Pisani and William Mumaw were united in marriage at 5 p.m. Dec. 31 at Saint Andrews United Presbyterian Church in Butler. The Rev. Merry Meloy officiated. A reception followed at the Pittsburgh Marriott North.

The bride is the daughter of David and Peggy Pisani of Saxonburg. Parents of the bridegroom are William and Shirley Mumaw of Apollo.

The honor attendant was Denise Hawks of Butler. Bridesmaids included Katie Scarpitti of Erie, Julie Giffin of Philadelphia, Becky Moyes of Lower Burrell, Sarah Dilts of State College and Cindi Bidlack of Somerset, N.J. The flower girl was Lexy Bidlack of Somerset.

Performing the duties of best man was Christian Shane of Belleview. Ushers included David Pisani of Castleton, N.Y.; Dan Hawks of Butler; Chuck Moyes of Lower Burrell; Ron Harnish of Apollo; and Mark Gaskill of Plumville. The ring bearer was Kyle Hawks of Butler.

The bride is a 2000 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2004 graduate of Grove City College. She works in the Butler School District.

The bridegroom graduated in 1989 from Kiski High School, in 1996 from Indiana (Pa.) University and in 2003 from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He is currently the pastor of the United Presbyterian Church of Freeport.

Following a honeymoon trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, the couple is making their home in Sarver.
