6:39 p.m. Wednesday — David R. Love Jr., 26, of Ford City, was charged with robbery, simple assault, disorderly conduct, retail theft and harassment after a loss prevention officer at Wal-Mart at Butler Commons was assaulted. The unidentified officer was injured, but did not need medical attention. Love was arraigned by District Judge Louis Stoughton and placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond, where he remains.

4:12 p.m. Thursday — Three people were injured when a car driven by Mandi Foertsch, 40, of Butler, pulled in front of a vehicle driven by Carole Dickson, 62, of Renfrew, on Route 422 near Route 488 in Franklin Township. Foertsch had a leg injury. Her passenger, Krystle Foertsch, 16, of the same address, had a neck injury, and Dickson suffered an arm injury. All were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital. Their conditions are not known. Mandi Foertsch was cited for vehicles entering or crossing roadways.5:11 p.m. Wednesday — James Kuemmerle, 38, of Glenshaw, Allegheny County, was not injured when his vehicle hit a deer in Lancaster Township.

7:30 a.m. Tuesday — Neither James Patrick Barnes, 19, of Freeport, nor George Reese, 45, of Sarver, were injured when the car driven by Barnes left its lane on Route 28 southbound in O'Hara Township, Allegheny County, and hit Reeses's car. Reese lost control of his vehicle and crashed into an embankment. Barnes was cited for a lane violation.

12:44 p.m. Thursday — Police detained six men and two women, all Mexican nationals in the United States illegally, after a motor vehicle stop on Interstate 80 in East Lackawannock Township. The eight were turned over to immigration officials in Pittsburgh.
