ZELIENOPLE — Ameeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at English Lutheran Church, High Street, for area residents interested in history or singing to help plan the Zelienople Historical Society's presentation of "Once Upon a Lifetime, AWedding Remembered", to be performed Oct. 18 and 19.

Participants at the meeting will help set a rehearsal schedule.

CABOT — The Cooper Cabin Pioneer Homestead, 199 Cooper Road, will host an ice cream social from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday.Participants will be able to participate in making ice cream. Tours of the grounds will be available.Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for youth ages 5 to 17 and free for children younger than 5 and Butler County Historical Society members.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Animal Partners of Butler County will host a rabies clinic from 2 to 4 p.m. June 9 at Slippery Rock Park.Cost is $7 per animal. Participants should use the Route 258 entrance. Dogs must be on a leash and cats in carriers. Pets must be at least 13 weeks old.

ZELIENOPLE — The Zelienople Public Library will host a "We the People"history night at 6:30 p.m. Monday.The event will feature volunteers portraying characters of books on the library's "We the People"bookshelf. The section contains books on young Americans growing up in different periods of history.For information, call 724-452-9330. The library is located at 227 S. High St.

CHICORA — Pat Knoechel of Eleanor Burns' "Quilt in a Day" series will present a lecture on The Magic Vine and Quick Trip quilts on at 7 p.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Chicora Road.Admission is $3 and refreshments will be served. The event is sponsored by River's Bend Quilters.

The Reality Tour, a drug awareness program for youth and their parents, at 6 p.m. Monday at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St.The tour is open to children 10 and older when accompanied by a parent or guardian.A session will also be held Thursday in Mars.Registration forms are available at www.realitytour.org.
