Michel

Ralph H. Michel, 94, of Worthington died Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born April 20, 1913, in Cabot, he was the son of Albert and Matilda Geisler Michel.

He retired as a rigger at Allegheny Ludlum. He also was a clock maker, loved to bake, cook and garden and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He played the harmonica, guitar and fiddle and was a member of the Rough Run Wildcats band.

Mr. Michel was a member of St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville.

Surviving are eight children, Ralph W. Michel of Lancaster, Donald E. Michel of Manor, Joanie Neigh of Butler, Shirley Chaffee of Tecumseh, Mich, Joyce Troutman of Butler, Lucy Rummel of Plano, Texas, Sherry Erby of Spring Run, and Marian Furl of Butler; 34 grandchildren; 65-great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Michel, who died Oct. 18, 2000. He also was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and a son-in-law.

<B>MICHEL </B>— Friends of Ralph H. Michel, who died Thursday, May 10, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B>, 424 Bear St., Worthington. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
