Leonard Cook Jr.

Leonard M. “Lenny” Cook Jr., 50, of West Park Road, Worth Township, died at 11:06 a.m. Friday at his home.

Born in Kane, McKean County, March 19, 1957, he was a son of Leonard Melvin Cook Sr. and Ruby Louise Smith.

He had been a visiting nurse for Butler County Visiting Nurses Association and has been disabled since 1996.

Mr. Cook was a Marine Corps veteran.

He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family. He also enjoyed bingo, puzzles, gaming, playing slot machines and coffee.

Surviving are a daughter and a son, Crystal M. Cook and Aaron L. Cook, both of Slippery Rock; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sara M. and Donald Lathrop of East Smethport and Marian C. and Richard Hall of Erie; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald K. and Jana Cook of Aiken and Richard A. and Josie Cook of Byesville, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celeste J. Dellich Cook; and his stepmother, Mary Jo.

COOK — Friends of Leonard M. “Lenny” Cook Jr., who died Friday, May 11, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas Meling, pastor of Zion Baptist Church of Worth Township, officiating. Burial will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.
