Esther June Dorr

Esther June Dorr, 85, of Sunnyview Home, formerly of Fairview, died Thursday at Sunnyview following a period of failing health.

Born Jan. 16, 1922, in Perry Township, she was the daughter of William A. and Mahala Jones Moore.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church.

She was first married to Willard Waite, who died Jan. 28, 1958, and then she married Phillip Montgomery Dorr Aug. 22, 1969, in Karns City. He died Oct. 13, 1990.

Surviving are her sister, Mrs. Jane Barger and her husband, Joseph, of Gretna, La.; three sisters-in-law, Rose Moore of Karns City, Florence Moore of East Brady and Margaret Moore of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by seven brothers, Kenneth, Harry, Clyde, Hamilton, John, Ernest and Creed Moore, and two sisters, Mrs. Annie Barger and Mrs. Myrtle Crawford.

<B>DORR— </B>Friends of Esther June Dorr, who died Thursday, May 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. until the funeral services at 8 p.m. Sunday at the <B>Richard d. Hillis funeral home</B> in Petrolia. The Rev. Wade Berky, pastor of the Fairview United Methodist Church, will officiate. A private burial will follow in the Bear Creek Cemetery in Petrolia.
