Lester R. Hall, 81, of Slippery Rock died at 4:25 a.m. Monday at the Grove City Medical Center.

Born Aug. 7, 1925, in Clay Township, he was the son of Lester Chalmers Hall and Jessie Leona Reagle Hall.

He was a lifelong farmer and had been a general foreman in the erection department at Pullman Standard for 36 years.

Mr. Hall was a World War II Army veteran and had served in the 101st Infantry during the Battle of the Bulge.

He was a member of St. John's United Methodist Church. He also was a member of the Grove City F&AM Lodge 603, the New Castle Consistory and the Zem Zem Shrine in Erie.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Barbara) Tebay of Butler and Beverly J. Everly and Mrs. William (Elaine) Crispen, both of Slippery Rock; a son, L. Ronald Hall of Walton, Ind.; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Betty Rachel McGirr of Slippery Rock, Mrs. Pete (Elsie Darlene) Ritenour of East Brady and Mrs. Burton (Nevada Dorothy) Kelly of Slippery Rock.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pauline Sybert Hall, who died Jan. 3, 1997; a son; two sisters, and three brothers.

<B>HALL </B>— Friends of Lester R. Hall, who died Monday, May 21, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>William F. Young Funeral Home</B>, 132 Main St., West Sunbury. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Ealy, his church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Slippery Rock Cemetery.Masonic services will be held at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
