Trailer fire leaves family homeless
It took just minutes late Monday morning for fire to leave a young couple and their three small children homeless.
Worse yet, Tim and Amber Wolfe had no insurance on their Campbell Hollow Road trailer home, or its contents.
"I don't know what I'm going to do," said Tim Wolfe as family and friends milled about the smoldering remains of the trailer off Hindman Road near the Concord-Washington Township line.
Despite the loss, he appreciated that no one was hurt in the fire just after 11 a.m.
"I ain't worried about the trailer," he said, "as long as the kids and everyone else were out."
Wolfe and his wife were at work and not home. The couple's children, ages 1, 5 and 8, were being watched by relatives.
It appeared the fire accidentally started in the kitchen, said Chief Dave Blair of the Petrolia Volunteer Fire Company. The North Washington Volunteer Fire Department will lead the investigation.
Quick action by two dozen firefighters had the blaze contained in 10 minutes, and kept damage to a minimum to Rita Hughes' trailer home just 5 feet or so away.
