Lois Mae Latchaw

Lois Mae Kriebel Latchaw, 77, of Parker, near Perryville, died Thursday evening at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born May 16, 1930, in East Brady, she was the daughter of John R. and Bertha E. Deitz Bernard.

She was a graduate of the former Parker High School and a member of St. Mary, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Parker.

She did office work in Pittsburgh, restaurant employment in Greenville and then was employed by the Knox Glass Corp., later Glass Containers, in Parker for years.

She retired with more than 10 years of service at the Emlenton Motor Inn at Exit 5, now 42, near Emlenton.

Although she had many interests, she loved helping her children and their families, and being creative with crocheting.

Surviving are two daughters, Bonnie Lee Lasker and her husband, Don, of Tarpon Springs, Fla., and LuAnn Kriebel of Tampa, Fla.; five sons, Terry Kriebel and his wife, Lezlie, of Bruin, John Kriebel of Perryville, Christopher Kriebel of West Freedom, retired Sgt. Maj. Donald Kriebel of Kenneth City, Fla., and Richard Kriebel of Tampa, Fla.; special friend, Dean Bell of New Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a sister, Connie Gamble of New Kensington; two brothers, Francis Bernard of West Freedom and John Bernard of Nickleville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Junior Lee Kriebel in 1976; her second husband, LeRoy "Bo" Latchaw, and a daughter, Cyndia Sue Kriebel Adams.

<B>Latchaw — </B>Friends of Lois Mae Kriebel Latchaw, who died Thursday, May 24, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home</B>, Wayne Street, Parker.Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Eusebius Catholic Cemetery in East Brady.
