Smith

Robert C. Smith, 76, of Parker, formerly of Worthington, died Monday at the ACMH Hospital, Kittanning.

Born Jan. 16, 1931, in Worthington, he was the son of James and Jessie Doverspike Smith.

He served with the Air Force in Greenland.

Mr. Smith enjoyed working on the farm and was a member of the Franklin Union Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Sheila M. Dodd Smith, whom he married Feb. 19, 1983; five children, Daniel Smith of Oklahoma, Mark Smith of Clarksburg, John Smith of West Sunbury and Ruth Ann William and Mary Ellen Nichols, both of Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He also is survived by a sister, Dorothy Wyant of Florida; a brother, James Smith of Cabot; and several nieces and nephews.

A brother, Roy Smith, preceded him in death.

<B>SMITH</B> — Friends of Robert C. Smith, who died Monday, May 28, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>F. Duane Snyder Funeral Home</B>, 424 Bear St., Worthington. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Franklin Union Baptist Church, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Hall officiating. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
