William H. Conrad
William H. Conrad of Chicora died Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Braddock, he was the son of the late Emil Rodgers Conrad and the late Agnes Confir Conrad.
He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chicora.
He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. He was plankowner of the USS Wisconsin BB64 and served in the Pacific theater and the Occupation in Japan.
Mr. Conrad was a member of the Chicora Masonic Lodge, the New Castle Consistory, the Legion of Honor-New Castle and the VFW of Castle Shannon.
He was a plasterer with Union Local 31 in Pittsburgh for more than 50 years.
Surviving are his wife, Hazel M. Conrad, whom he married Nov. 18, 1972; three daughters, Mrs. Michael (Linda) Carlson of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Randy (Diane) Dunlap and Mrs. Barry (Lori) Summerville, all of Chicora; three sons, William H. Conrad and his wife, Kathleen, of Pittsburgh, Robert D. Conrad and his wife, Monica, of Leesburg, Va., and Dennis P. Titley and his wife, Barb, of Grove City; 12 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
<B>CONRAD</B> — Friends of William H. Conrad, who died Sunday, May 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Higgins officiating.
