Rose G. Portal

Rose G. Portal, 64, of 513 Pattison St., Evans City, died Tuesday at the Kittanning Care Center.

Born Dec. 10, 1942, in Kittanning, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Hagofsky Painter.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and feeding the birds in her backyard.

Mrs. Portal was a member of the Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church, Ford City.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond R. Portal; two sisters, Pauline C. Cousins and Sarah J. (Robert) Harkleroad, both of Ford City; two brothers, William J. "Bud" (Dorothy) Painter of Shelocta and Charles E. (Audrey) Painter of Rural Valley; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A brother-in-law, Lewis W. Cousins, preceded her in death.

<B>PORTAL </B>— Friends of Rose G. Portal, who died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Kennedy & Blodgett Funeral Home</B>, 253 N. Grant Ave., Kittanning. Visitation also will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church, 854 Garretts Run Road, Ford City, where services will follow at 11 a.m. The Rev. Bill Schaefer will officiate. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
