Thomas C. Conway, 69, of 245 Sunville Road, Fran-klin, died Tuesday afternoon at his home.

Born Aug. 23, 1937, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of M.W. and Mary E. Shelby Conway.

He was a veteran and retired from the 99th RSC, U.S. Army Reserves, where he was a heavy equipment repair inspector.

Mr. Conway was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church, a one-time member of the Oakland Volunteer Fire Department and a one-time director of the Venango County 4-H.

He is survived by a son, Christopher Conway of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Cynthia Conway of Franklin; and seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jacquelyn, Jeremy, Kerairra, Tiosha, Jordyn and Xavier Conway, all of Franklin.

Also surviving are eight sisters, Odessa Conway of Franklin, Audrey Royster of Akron, Ohio, Marcella Miller and her husband, Bill, of Grove City, Agnes Conway of Boyers, Margaret Tatum of Cleveland, Mary Alice Smallwood and her husband, Wilbur, of Butler, Hazel Sheffield of New Brighton and Barbara Conway of Cheswick.

His wife, the former Ethel M. Holland, whom he married Sept. 21, 1963, preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by three brothers, Vernon, Michael Jr. and John Conway.

<B>CONWAY</B> — Friends of Thomas C. Conway, who died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home</B>, 1315 Chestnut St., Franklin. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph Martin, his church pastor, officiating.
