Wednesday — Police charged Nicholas Brittner, 19, of Forward Township with criminal mischief for allegedly painting graffiti on a pier of the General Richard Butler Bridge June 15. Damage to the state-owned bridge was estimated at $879.Wednesday — Heather Karenbauer told police her son's bicycle was stolen from the family's Wick Street home. The bike is a 24-inch Triax valued at $100.
Wednesday — A six-speed bicycle was stolen between midnight and 6:30 a.m. from 106 Lowry St. in Lyndora. The bike is a purple, 26-inch Next Avalon model.Tuesday — Police charged Christopher Beck, 25, of Butler for allegedly punching a woman in the mouth and breaking a man's hand in a car door during a disturbance about 2:30 a.m. Sunday at the Belmont IIBar in the Bon Aire Plaza.Beck is charged with simple assault, two counts of harassment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
2:20 a.m. today — Brenda L. Schmidt, 43, of Ellwood City, Lawrence County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Routes 8 and 138 in Clay Township.9:24 p.m. Wednesday — Ricki Janke, 44, of Worth Township faces several charges after she crashed her car and then fled the scene of the wreck on Ralston Road in Slippery Rock.Police cited Janke for failing to immediately notify police of an accident, driving too fast for conditions, illegal abandonment of a vehicle and a lane violation.Wednesday — Police reported they are seeking the whereabouts of Mark Christie, 19, of Slippery Rock, who is suspected of burglarizing a Sanderson Road home in Slippery Rock Township.Christie allegedly broke into the home between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 4:40 p.m. Wednesday and stole several items, including a Nintendo Wii video game console.Police described the suspect as white, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with blond hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information about Christie's whereabouts is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.Wednesday — Someone between 8 p.m. Tuesday and 8 p.m. Wednesday broke into a shed and also tried to burglarize a home on Browns Hill Road in Middlesex Township.
Wednesday — Several undisclosed items were taken between 11:10 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday during a burglary at Doc's Tavern on Route 68 in Toby Township, Clarion County.7:25 p.m. Tuesday — Brandon Leadbetter, 25, of Rimersburg was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his all-terrain vehicle crashed on Henry Road in Toby Township, Clarion County. Leadbetter, who was wearing a helmet, was taken with unknown injuries to Clarion Hospital.
