Leona M. Regan, 79, of Sarver, formerly of Butler, died Tuesday at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born March 18, 1928, in Butler, she was the daughter of Joseph and Blanche Leroy Georges.

She had been an optometric assistant for Dr. F.T. Wigton and also was a homemaker.

Mrs. Regan was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot and a volunteer at the St. Vincent dePaul Society. She also belonged to the Order of Alhambra. She had been a Eucharistic minister while she attended St. Michael the Archangel Church in Butler. She had been a leader of the Junior Catholic Daughters of America and an auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary.

Surviving are her husband, John J. Regan, whom she married June 9, 1967; four daughters, Linda Kovacik of Butler and Mrs. Pat (Mary Anne) Walker, Mrs. Michael (Beth) Kelley and Mrs. Terry (Bridget) Walker Jr., all of Sarver; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were a sister, Rose Bianucci; and a grandson, Patrick Walker.

<B>Regan</B> — Friends of Leona M. Regan, who died Tuesday, June 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday at the <B>Fox Funeral Home</B>, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the St. Michael Cemetery, Butler.Memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent dePaul Society.Information also is available at www.foxfuneralhomeinc.com.
