Wednesday — Four city youths are accused of breaking into a McKinley Avenue home in April and stealing money as well as video games and accessories.The suspects — A 13-year-old boy, a pair of 17-year-old boys and a 16-year-old girl were arrested and charged in juvenile court after two of the teens admitted to the crime, a police report said.The youths, who police did not identify, allegedly broke into the home on or about April 16, while the owners were away on vacation. The suspects are charged with burglary, conspiracy and theft.
3:51 p.m. July 27 — A vehicle driven by Nellie Miller, 59, of 609 Pattison St., Ext., Evans City, was traveling southbound on Pattison Street Extension and attempting to round a curve when she lost control of her vehicle, crashed into a hillside and flipped the car on its side.6:57 p.m. July 29 — A vehicle driven by Michelle Franklin, 30, of Pittsburgh was traveling on Route 19 near Lindsay Road trying to pass a vehicle, when she lost control on wet pavement, crashed into a divider and struck a guardrail. It was raining at the time of the accident. Franklin was cited for failing to drive at safe speeds.
5:50 p.m. Wednesday — A15-year-old Butler area boy was injured when his dirt bike crashed into the side of a car on Brinker Road near Herman Road in Summit Township.The boy, who police did not identify, was thrown from bike; he was treated for a moderate ankle injury at Butler Memorial Hospital. The car, driven by James Selzer, 25, of Chicora hit a tree, following the collision.Police said the boy was cited for illegally entering or crossing a road.11:45 a.m. Wednesday — George Lee Arnio, 33, of Chicora was arrested at his Front Street home, on a fugitive warrant issued by authorities in Trumbull County, Ohio. The warrant, police said, was for a probation violation. Arnio was placed without bond in the Butler County Prison.9:09 a.m. Wednesday — A car driven by Kelly Gray, no age given, of Slippery Rock and a sport utility vehicle driven by George Lloyd, no age given, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Duffy Road in Brady Township. Lloyd, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered moderate injuries.Wednesday — An in-dash Kenwood stereo system and a small amount of money was taken from a vehicle between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian youth camp on Taggart Road in Worth Township.
4 p.m. Wednesday — A 15-year-old girl told authorities that two boys, ages 12 and 16, raped her at her Stoneboro home. Police said they are investigation the allegations; no other information was available this morning.
