Edward P. Cwenar
Edward P. Cwenar, age 83, of Lancaster Township, on Friday, July 13, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, went peacefully to work in God's workshop.
Born July 1, 1924, in Stowe Twp., he was the son of the late Alexander and Albina Dlugosz Cwenar.
Mr. Cwenar was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Zelienople.
He was a U.S. Navy World War II veteran and was a former minor league baseball coach.
He was an avid Steelers fan, a dedicated family man, and was known as "Mr. Fix-it" around the house.
He is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Ruth (Rudzki) Cwenar, whom he married Aug. 17, 1957; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Betsy Cwenar of Pittsburgh and Tom and Susan Cwenar of (Wexford) North Hills; five grandchildren, Michael, Colleen, Chris, Theresa and Kate.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Bielstein.

Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Catholic Church, with Father Robert M. Miller, his church pastor, officiating.
