Helene N. Nowakowski

Helene N. Nowakowski, formerly of Saxonburg Road in Butler, died early Sunday morning at the Saxony Health Care Center in Saxonburg.

Born in Bredinville, Butler Township, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Janesko Zavacky.

She was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler, where she had been a member of the Women's Council and the choir.

Mrs. Nowakowski was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening and baking for her family and friends.

Surviving are her two sons, John S. Nowakowski of Bethlehem and Daniel D. Nowakowski of Butler; a grandson; a brother, Michael Zavacky of Lyndora; and two sisters, Mrs. William (Margaret) Shulik and Mrs. Robert (Agnes) Cuffman, both of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley F. Nowakowski, who died June 9, 1972; a brother; and four sisters.

<B>Nowakowski — </B>Friends of Helene N. Nowakowski, who died Sunday, July 15, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at <B>Geibel funeral home, </B>201 E. Cunningham St., Butler. A Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., Butler, with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating. A private burial will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery.The Women's Council of St. Peter's will meet at 9:40 a.m. Wednesday at the church to recite rosary.Additional information and condolence messages are available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
