Robert L. Bowser
Robert L. Bowser, 55, of Slate Lick died Saturday at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
Born Oct. 22, 1951, in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Clarence and Mabel (Long) Bowser.
He worked at Dlubak Inc. in State Lick and served in the Army Reserves during the Vietnam War.
Mr. Bowser was a member of Buffalo Valley Sportsman Club, Oak Ridge Pointing Dog Club and the German Short Hair Pointer Club of Pittsburgh.
He trained award-winning pointing dogs and ran dogs in the A.K.C. hunt tests.
He also was an avid hunter who enjoyed the outdoors and served as a guide for numerous hunting preserves throughout the state.
Surviving are his wife, Pearl Bowser of Slate Lick; two sons, Casey Bowser and his wife, Heidi, of Butler and Chad Bowser of Slate Lick; a grandson, Luke Bowser of Butler, who was his pride and joy; two sisters, Donna Fahlor and her husband, Raymond, of Cowansville and Shirley Bowser of Craigsville; and a niece and a nephew, Bev Hika and Curt Fahlor, both of Craigsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a niece and a nephew.
<B>BOWSER— </B>Friends of Robert L. Bowser, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Snyder-crissman funeral home, </B>200 S. McKean St., Kittanning. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in the Slate Lick Cemetery.
