Edward L. Swigart
Edward L. Swigart, 55, of Sligo died Sunday at the Clarion Hospital after a long battle with heart and lung disease.
Born Oct. 10, 1951, he was the son of the late George and Alice Love of Butler.
Mr. Swigart was a 1971 graduate of Mars High School and was as professional welder for 22 years for the United Steelworkers Association.
On July 26, 1980, he married Debora C. Hauserman who survives along with five daughters, Victoria and Olivia Swigart, both at home, Aundrea Weckerly and her husband, Michael and Sarah Sisson and her husband, Kenneth, all of Sligo and Catherine Hauserman and her fiancé, Dave Rodgers, of Chicora; and two daughters by choice, Stephanie Hauserman and her husband, Christopher, of Newmansville and Tara Flick and her fiancé, Brandon Gathers of Huey. He was the proud grandfather of Angeleia, Lacy, Casey and Teagan.
Also surviving are two brothers-in-law, Joseph Hauserman and his wife, Barbara, of Tionesta and James Walters of Evans City; and a sister-in-law, Juanita Clemens and her husband, Robert, of Cranberry Township.
His greatest accomplishments and joys came from being a father and grandfather.
<B>SWIGART </B>— Friends of Edward L. Swigart, who died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Varner Funeral Home</B>, Sligo. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Churchville Cemetery, Curlsville.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Epileptic Foundation or to the family to help defray costs.
