H. Stanley Strain
H. Stanley Strain, 76, formerly of Gardenia, Calif., and Middlesex Township, died Tuesday evening at his home in Gaithersburg, Md.
Born in Middlesex Township, Aug. 1, 1931, he was the son of Roy and Flora Park Strain.
He was a retired teacher. He also worked for V.R. Brokers while in California and later was a driver for Enterprise Car Rental.
Mr. Strain was a member of the Gaithersburg Presbyterian Church.
He was an avid dancer.
He served in the Navy during the Korean War.
Surviving are a daughter, Darian Packard and her husband, Dean, of Chevy Chase, Md.; his grandchildren, Easton, Joelle, Hathaway and Faith Packard; and a brother, Harvey Strain of Middlesex Township.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor Hurst.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Weist, pastor of Glade Run United Presbyterian Church, officiating.
