Douglas J. Michael
Douglas J. Michael, 51, of Columbia Avenue, Grove City, formerly of Harrisville, died at 10:20 a.m. Tuesday at his home after a long illness.
Born in Grove City, June 29, 1956, he was the son of James R. Michael and the late Virginia L. (Barr) Michael.
He was a 1974 alumnus of Slippery Rock High School and a graduate of the New Castle School of Trades for heating and air conditioning.
Mr. Michael was an expediter at Cooper Energy Services in Grove City for more than 25 years.
He was a Protestant.
Surviving are his father of Grove City; a sister, Mrs. Donald E. (Tammy M.) Lane of Cranberry Township; a brother, Rodney E. Michael of Mission Viejo, Calif.; three nephews; two nieces, and his former wife, Cindy Michael Vogt, of Enfield, N.H.
Friends were received Thursday at the Jamison Funeral Home, Harrisville. Services were this morning at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe, a retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating. Burial was at Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
