COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS
Snow falls on Butler on Dec. 16, 1969, but Main Street is mostly clear for people scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping. Christmas lights and decorations adorn much of Downtown Butler as they do today, but many of the shops have changed, such as Woolworth's, which is now a metered parking lot.
