David C. Dietrich
David C. Dietrich, 83, of McCandless Road died at 11:10 a.m. Saturday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Oct. 11, 1924, on the family farm in Allegheny County, he was the son of Charles and Martha Keck Dietrich.
He retired from the maintenance department of North Pittsburgh Telephone. Prior to that, he worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and earlier, he worked on the farm for years.
He was a Protestant. He enjoyed farming, hunting, gardening, his family and his grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Sharon Hall and her husband, Jeffrey, and Amy Blair and her husband, Paul Henry Blair II, all of Butler; two granddaughters, Joyce Ellen and Annabelle Louise Blair; four grandsons, Paul Henry Blair III, Daniel Garris Blair and David Calvin Blair and Jeffrey Hall Jr.; a sister, Mrs. Wilbert (Louise) Mowry, and numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Ellen Garris, who died Sept. 13, 1992, and by two brothers.

North St. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Chicora Alliance Church, officiating.
