Brenda J. Kagle
Brenda J. Kagle, 71, formerly of Cranberry Township, died Saturday at Shannondell At Valley Forge in Lower Providence Township, Montgomery County, where she made her home for the past six years.
Born Dec. 19, 1935, in Evans City, she was a daughter of Thomas H. and Isabel C. (Stevenson) Kagle.
She was a graduate of Evans City High School and Grove City College and earned two master degrees from the University of Pittsburgh.
Ms. Kagle retired in 1994 from Westinghouse in Monroeville, where she was a software engineer for more than 35 years.
She was a member of Zonta International and UNIFEM and was on the board of directors for VOICe, the Victim Outreach Intervention Center.
Surviving are a niece, Beth A. Matzke of Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County; two nephews, William D. Ritchey of Ellicott City, Md., and Robert A. Ritchey of Chevy Chase, Md.; and a great-nephew, Luke Matzke.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda Ritchey.
