Nicoletta C. Weinig, 86, of Beech Road, Butler Township, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday at the Chicora Medical Center.

Born in Bari, Italy, Jan. 31, 1921, she was the daughter of Savino and Anna DeBennatates Petrone.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Catherine Diaz of Butler; three grandchildren, Maria Olmstead, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Diaz and Desi Diaz; and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. Carol Rabito of Middle Village, N.Y.; and two nephews.

Her husband, William H. Weinig, died Dec. 9, 2006. She also was preceded in death by an infant brother.
