David L. Eppinger, 62, of Butler, died at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

Born March 28, 1945, in Butler, he was the son of Margaret Davis Eppinger and the late David F. Eppinger.

He was a bricklayer for Paul Wise Construction.

Surviving are his wife, Yvonne "Vonnie" Werich Eppinger, who he married Sept. 10, 1965; a son, Wilson D. Eppinger of Butler; his mother of Butler; two sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Green and Mrs. Sam (Bonnie) Zurzolo, both of Butler; and three brothers, Richard and Edward Eppinger, both of Chicora, and John Eppinger of Butler.

He was preceded in death by a brother.
