David B. Swisher

David B. "Skip" Swisher, 73, of Butler died at 11:17 a.m. Thursday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Nov. 13, 1934, in Portsmith, Ohio, he was the son of Joseph Swisher and Avonel Guilkey.

He retired as an electronic engineer for Butler Armco after 31 years.

Mr. Swisher was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Beaver Lawrence Railroad Historical Society. He was a veteran of the Army.

Mr. Swisher is survived by his wife, Nancy Fisher Swisher, whom he married Aug. 13, 1960; one son, Scott Swisher of Middletown, Md., and one sister, Mary Jo Kjos of Seattle, Wash.

<B>SWISHER</B> — Friends of David B. "Skip"Swisher, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, will be received at the <B>FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH</B>, 200 East North Street from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday.Memorial services will be held following visitation at 3 p.m. Monday at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev, William Gumpper of First United Methodist Church, officiating.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Pittsburgh Office, 300 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 602, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
