'Guys and Dolls'

Butler High School will present the musical "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. March 7 and 8 at the Butler Senior High Auditorium, 120 Campus Lane.

Tickets can be purchased for $10 presale at May's Music Shoppe, 247 E. Jefferson St., or for $12 at the door.

Based on the book by Abe Burrows and Jo Swerling and with lyrics and music by Frank Loesser, the story centers around high-rolling Sky Masterson, who makes a bet with gambler Nathan Detroit that he can win a date with the virginal Sarah Brown.

The program will be directed by Dale VanLaningham and choreographed by Stephanie Marshall. Vocal director is Beverly Antis, with Jeff Kroner as pit orchestra conductor, David Smith as technical director, Robert Harrison as technical adviser, Carol Albright on costumes, Jennifer Mariacher on props and Amy Cloud as student stage manager.
