Hazel Mae Huckestein

Hazel Mae Huckestein, 87, of Penn-Mar Plaza in Mars, formerly of Avalon and Brighton Heights, died Friday morning at Valencia Woods Nursing Center.

Born May 1, 1920, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Joseph and Clara Zeigler Boody.

She was a member of St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars, and had been a member of St. Cyril Roman Catholic Church in Brighton Heights.

Surviving are six daughters, Marilynn Arnold of Mars, Mrs. Paul (Ruth) Hutchins of Poolesville, Md., Mrs. Leo (Phyllis) Broskey of Millvale, Elizabeth Huckestein of Austin, Texas, Mrs. Randy (Mary) Szymik of Mars, and Jean Huckestein of White Hall; two sons, Charles Huckestein Jr. of Saxonburg and John "Jack" Huckestein (Betty Ann) of Columbus, Ga.; 23 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Huckestein Sr., who she married Nov. 27, 1941, and who died Aug. 27, 1993; and by a brother, Melvin Boody.

<B>HUCKESTEIN</B> — Friends of Hazel Mae Huckestein, who died Friday, March 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the <B>McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home</B>, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.a Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday AT St. Kilian Roman Catholic Church in Mars with the Rev. Charles Bober, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Verona.Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of St. Kilian Church, P.O.
