Michel

Mary A. Michel, 90, formerly of Linden Street, died Thursday at the Evergreen Nursing Center in Harmony.

Born April 25, 1917, in Butler, she was a daughter of Herman and Agnes Loll Pistorius.

She retired as a supervisor for the P.A.R.C. Sheltered Workshop when it was at the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She was also a homemaker and loved to cook, crochet and take care of her family and home.

Mrs. Michel was a lifelong member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and was active in the Women's Council of St. Peter and the AARP.

Her husband, Martin C. Michel, whom she married July 29, 1947, died Dec. 25, 1985.

She is survived by two sisters, Maxine Geibel and Mrs. Jack (Yvonne) Snyder, both of Butler; a niece, Ruth Etzel, who had lived with her; and a number of other nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.

<B>MICHEL</B> —<B> </B>A Mass of Christian burial for Mary A. Michel, who died Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Saturday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St. Burial will follow at the St. Peter Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.The Women's Council of St. Peters will recite the rosary at 12:40 p.m. Saturday at the church.Arrangements are by the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, and additional information can be found and condolence messages placed at www.geibelfuneralhome.
