Linda L. Bowers, 62, of David Drive died unexpectedly Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 16, 1946, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Sally L. Morrow Thompson and the late William A. Thompson.

She was a 1963 graduate of Butler High School and was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. As a young lady, she had been a secretary for the Butler Memorial Hospital Nursing School.

She was an avid local bingo player, and she also greatly enjoyed her dog, Comet.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelly Weimer and her husband, Eric, of Butler; a son, Mark E. Sheakley and his wife, Tricia, of Butler; her mother of Butler; her ex-husband, Ed Sheakley of Butler; two brothers and their wives, William A. Thompson Jr. and Nancy Thompson of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., and Robert L. and Kathy Thompson of Butler; two sisters, her twin, Sandra S. Wilson and Suzanne H. Seybert, both of Butler; four grandchildren, Nathan and Carson Weimer and Damon and Aidan Sheakley, all of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>BOWERS </B>— Friends of Linda L. Bowers, who died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation services provided by the Geibel Funeral Home.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
