John J. 'Jack' Walsh

John J. "Jack" Walsh, 76, of Butler died at 8 p.m. Sunday at his home.

Born Oct. 2, 1931, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Peter and Audrey Wallace Walsh.

He was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.

Mr. Walsh had worked in construction and was an Army veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Rosemary E. Lamoreaux Walsh, who he married Jan. 9, 1956; two daughters, Mrs. Jay (Shelley) Hildebrand of Pooler, Ga., and Deborah Gerlach of Meadville; two sons, Jeffery Walsh of Butler and John Walsh of Vero Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a baby sister.

<B>WALSH </B>— Friends of John J. "Jack" Walsh, who died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, 127 W. Jefferson St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, 127 Franklin St., with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating.
