Robert Lee Savage
Robert Lee Savage, 52, of Kennerdell, Venango County, died at 4:50 p.m. Monday at UPMC Northwest-Seneca after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 1, 1955, in Butler, he was a son of Walter "John" and Mary A. McGinnis Savage, who survive.
He was a 1973 graduate of the Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District, Foxburg. He was employed at Cooper Energy in Grove City until 2000. Most recently he worked at Hovis Auto Supply in Emlenton.
Mr. Savage was an avid turkey and deer hunter and enjoyed spending time with all his family.
On Oct. 24, 1975, he married Kathy L. Stewart. She survives along with two children, Heath Adam Savage and his girlfriend, Laurel, of Clintonville and Amanda Lynn McElhinney and her husband, Devon, of Parker; two grandsons, Dylan J. and Ryker A. McElhinney; a granddaughter due in June; a sister, Christine A. Lesnick and her husband, Dale, of North Versailles; three brothers, Richard A. and James R. Savage, both of Kennerdell, and Dale E. Savage and his wife, Darlene of Emlenton; a special aunt and caretaker, Phyllis McGinnis of Kennerdell; and several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marcus W. and William David Savage; a sister, Pamela J. Savage; his maternal grandparents, Wayne and Alice McGinnis; his paternal grandfather, Jasper Savage; and his maternal great-grand parents, Alonzo and Mary Wade.
<B>SAVAGE </B>— Friends of Robert Lee Savage, who died Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Larry E. McKinley Funeral Home</B>, 109 Emlenton St., Clintonville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. David Smith of the Church of the Nazarene of Franklin officiating.
