James J. Brenckle

Brenckle

James J. "Jim" Brenckle, 72, of Middle Lancaster died Tuesday at UPMC Passavant-Cranberry hospital.

Born Sept. 18, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Fred T. and Clara Schach Brenckle.

He attended the St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, Zelienople.

Mr. Brenckle enjoyed gardening and traveling and loved going to flea markets. Jim was a friend of Bill W.

He is survived by his wife, Betty M. Brenckle, whom he married Nov. 25, 1965; three daughters, Linda Finnigan of Portersville, Susan Scheller and her husband, Brian, of Economy and Michelle Brenckle of Marienville; two sons, James L. "Jim" Brenckle and his wife, Cheri, and Ronald "Mac" Brenckle and his wife, Jessica, both of Butler; two brothers, Robert Brenckle and his wife, Ellen, of Connoquenessing and Thomas Brenckle and his wife, Marianne, of New Sewickley Township; five sisters, Rose Scheller, Dorothy "Dot" Cox and Joanne "Boots" Porter, all of New Sewickley Township, Janet Johnson and her husband, Marty, of Economy and Carolyn "Kate" Beck of Renfrew; and three grandchildren, Christi, Julie and Paul Brenckle.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John F. Brenckle, who died Feb. 12, 2007.

<B>BRENCKLE</B> — Friends of James J. "Jim" Brenckle, who died Tuesday, March 11, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Gregory Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev.
