Dorothy M. Trimbur
Dorothy M. Trimbur, 89, of Keck Road died Wednesday at her home.
Born Jan. 17, 1919, in Butler, she was a daughter of Stephen and Elizabeth Blatt Slater.
She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Trimbur was a member of the St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, where she belonged to the Women's Council.
She enjoyed playing bingo and played several times a week. She also enjoyed going to casinos and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Bernard F. "Buck" Trimbur Jr. and Dianna Trimbur and Stephen T. and Janet Trimbur, all of Butler; three daughters, Mrs. Leetta (Earl) Christy, Mrs. Joanne (Charles) Miller and Mrs. Mary (Terry) Walker, all of Butler; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
Her husband, Bernard F. "Ben" Trimbur Sr., whom she married May 10, 1937, died June 30, 2002. Two sisters, a grandson and a great-granddaughter also preceded her in death.
<B>TRIMBUR </B>— Friends of Dorothy M. Trimbur, who died Wednesday, March 12, 2008, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary Cemetery in Herman.The Women's Council of St. Peter will recite the rosary at 9:40 a.m. Friday at the church.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
