Roberta F. McCord
Roberta Faye "Bobbie" McCord, 65, of Riverview Avenue, Parker, Hovey Township, Armstrong County, died at 11:15 p.m. Saturday at her home after failing health.
She was born in Petrolia, May 28, 1942. She was the daughter of Simon Wolfgang, who was killed in action during World War II, and was raised by her stepfather, Richard Ekis and her mother, Alice Hilliard Ekis.
She graduated from Karns City High School in 1960.
Mrs. McCord was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 7073 of Parker.
She enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
Surviving are her husband, Donald E. McCord, who she married June 17, 1961, in Bruin; a daughter, Lori S. Wolfe and her husband, Daniel, of Allegheny Township, Parker; a son, James K. McCord and his wife, Vicky, of Parker; three grandchildren, Danny Wolfe of Allegheny Township, Parker, and Sara and Ashley McCord of Parker; a great-granddaughter, Katelyn Wolfe of Parker; a sister, Gayle Diane Anthony and her husband, Paul, of Karns City; and several nieces and nephews.
<B>MCCORD</B> — Friends of Roberta Faye "Bobbie" McCord, who died Saturday, April 12, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Richard D. Hillis Funeral Home</B>, Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Rowe, retired Presbyterian pastor, officiating.
