Ralph W. Michel
Ralph W. "Red" Michel, 68, of Lancaster, formerly of Butler, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday while a patient at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the husband of Carol S. Stepp Michel.
Born in Cabot, he was the son of the late Ralph H. and Lillian B. Denny Michel.
Mr. Michel retired from Corestates Bank as the vice president of lending after 35 years in the banking business.
He was a member of Calvary Church.
He served in the Air Force from 1959 to 1964.
Red was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed golf, traveling and spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife are three daughters, Lorie Ann Michel, Shelley Michel-Zettel and Stephanie Michel-Segnor; a son, Brian Michel; seven grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by six sisters, Joan Neigh, Marian Furl and Joyce Troutman, all of Butler, Shirley Chaffee, Lucy Rummel and Sherry Erby; and a brother, Donald Michel.
