Roy Peter Keck Sr.

Roy Peter Keck Sr., 51, of Sharon died at 4:25 a.m. Thursday at his home after a brief illness.

Born in Sharon, Aug. 14, 1956, he was a son of the late Donald and Carmella "Boots" Miano Keck.

He was a 1974 graduate of the Sharon High School, where he won blue ribbon awards on the swimming and bowling teams.

Mr. Keck was a member of the Shenango Valley Church of God, Hermitage.

He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving are his companion, Trudy Weakley at home; two sons, Roy P. Keck Jr. and his wife, Kathryn, of Woodbridge, Va., and Shaun B.F. Keck of Sharon; two grandsons, Dillion and Mitchell Keck; five siblings, Linda and her husband, James Janesek, of Chicago, Grace Ann Keck of Sharon, Loretta Keck of Farrell, Evelyn J. Keck of Sharon and Donald Keck Jr. and his companion, Carol Moore, of Youngstown, Ohio; four nieces; and five nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Olivia Sara-Beth Keck; and a great-nephew, Dawson Robert Kelly.

<B>KECK </B>— Friends of Roy Peter Keck Sr., who died Thursday, May 1, 2008, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the<B> Harold W. Stevenson Funeral Home</B>, 265 E. State St., Sharon. The funeral service will follow at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Geraldine Williams, chaplain of the Sharon Regional Health System Hospice and Palliative Care, officiating. Cremation service provided by the funeral home.Donations may be made to the Shenango Valley Church of God, 1957 Pine Hollow Blvd., Hermitage, PA 16148.
