Wilma 'Billie' Mae Stutz
Wilma "Billie"Mae Stutz, 84, of Grove City Assisted Living and formerly of Ridgeway Avenue in Grove City, died at 12:01 a.m. Friday at Grove City Medical Center.
Billie, as she was known by family and friends, was born Aug. 26, 1923, in Connoquenessing. She was the fourth daughter of Conrad and Edna Saylor Nicklas. She married Richard B. Stutz on May 26, 1951. He died March 27, 2006.
She graduated from Butler High School and received training at Butler Memorial Hospital, where she was employed as an X-ray technician until her marriage. In later years, she worked in the medical office of Dr. Raymond Yourd. She was a member of The Church of The Beloved Disciple.
Billie's greatest joy came from caring for and spending time with her family. She was known for her baking and knitting and was generous with homemade gifts. She also enjoyed playing cards and reading.
Surviving are her son, Richard Stutz and his wife, Terri, of Grove City; two daughters, Susan Farkas and her husband, John of Meadville, and Paula Hay and her husband, David of Grove City.
She was the proud grandmother of seven grandchildren, Emily Stutz of Lansing, Mich., Maxx Stutz of Grove City, Luke Farkas of Pittsburgh,Sam Farkas of Nashville, Tenn., Henry Farkas of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Ron Hay of Pittsburgh, and Andy Hay of Erie.
She is also survived by her sister, Gretchen Moore of Butler, and many nieces and nephews. Billie was also fond of her husband's family and enjoyed their visits and phone calls. She was much loved and will be missed by all.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Wilker and Naomi Stevenson; and two nephews, Richard Rider and Skip Stahl.
<B>STUTZ</B> — Friends of Wilma "Billie"Mae Stutz, who died Friday, May 16, 2008, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at <B>Cunningham Funeral Home, Inc</B>., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.AMass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at The Church of the Beloved Disciple, Grove City, with the Rev. Mark Hoffman as celebrant. Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.
