Robert E. McCall

Robert E. McCall, 84, of Parker died Friday afternoon at Clarion Hospital following an illness.

Born Dec. 2, 1923, in Parker, he was the son of Howard and Pearl Polm McCall. He was Protestant by faith.

He was a retired employee of the former Glass Containers Corp. in Parker, retiring after 39 years of service. He was also a member of the Glass Bottle Blowers Association.

For many years, he and his wife assisted the late Charlotte Dean with the operation of Dean's Flower Shop in Parker. He continued to assist his wife with the flower shop when Mrs. McCall purchased the floral operation from Mrs. Dean. Both later retired from that operation.

Bob was a social member of the VFW at Parker and the American Legion at Foxburg.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Julia Rottman "Babe" McCall, whom he married June 18, 1943; two daughters-in-law, Carol McCall of New York and Karen Beiter of Florida; one grandson, Michael McCall; four granddaughters, Kimberly Motill, Tricia Henderson, Brigette Smich and Brooke McCall; eight great-grandchildren, Angela, Michelle, Samantha, Christopher, Sean, Hattae, Jalen and Machenzie; a sister, Esther McCall of Parker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. McCall was preceded in death by his three sons, Dennis Dean McCall in 1980, Shawn McCall in 2005, and Robert John McCall in 2007; and by one brother, William R. McCall.

<B>MCCALL</B> — Friends of Robert E. McCall, who died Friday, May 23, 2008, were received Sunday at Buzard Funeral Home in Parker. Services were conducted 4 p.m. Sunday.Burial was to be at 9 a.m. today at Oak Grove Cemetery in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County.Arrangements by <B>H. Jack Buzard Funeral Homes.</B>
