Nye

Helen Marie Nye, 91, formerly of Harmony, died Wednesday evening at the Chicora Medical Center, where she had been a resident for a couple years.

She was born Aug. 14, 1916, in Butler and was the daughter of George and Mary Aiken Everett.

She retired as a licensed practical nurse after 17 years at the Passavant Health Center.

Mrs. Nye attended the Portersville Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Keenagers in Portersville.

She is survived by two sons, Neil Nye Jr. of Cranberry Township and Nathan Nye of Harmony; two daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Jeannetta) Arnold of East Brady and Loretta Oium of Bassett, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter and three brothers.
