Robert Olszewski Sr.

Robert J. Olszewski Sr., 75, of West Deer Township, formerly of Penn Township, was called home to our Lord Monday.

Born March 20, 1933, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of Kazimir and Klementyne Olszewski. He also was preceded in death by five sisters.

Robert was an ironworker with Local 3 of Pittsburgh and a farmer.

He served as a paratrooper with the Army's 11th Airborne Division and was a member of Penn Township Veterans Association.

Mr. Olszewski enjoyed camping and was a charter member of Sunny Majors Travelaires of Harmony. He was a devout member of Gospel Fellowship Presbyterian Church in America, Valencia.

He was the beloved husband of Gloria A. Olszewski, who he married June 11, 1955; loving father of Catherine A. (Peter) Nagy of Cabot, Lisa M. (Bruce) Golojuh of Sarver and Robert J. Olszewski Jr. of West Deer Township; and grandfather of Kimberly A. Nagy of Cabot. Also surviving are two sisters, Joanna Sevick and Marie (Joseph) Staskowicz, both of Pittsburgh; and three brothers, Raymond Olszewski of Pittsburgh, Richard Olszewski of Gibsonia and Roland (Marie) Olszewski of Butler.

<B>OLSZEWSKI </B>— The family of Robert J. Olszewski Sr., who died Monday, June 9, 2008, will welcome friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at <B>Schellhaas Funeral Home</B>, 5864 Heckert Road, Bakerstown. The service will follow at 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Nick Protos officiating.
