Slaughenhoupt

Garry Eugene Slaughenhoupt, 48, of Main Street, Bruin, died Saturday at his home of natural causes.

Born in Butler, Oct. 31, 1959, he was a son of James R. Slaughenhoupt of Bruin and the late Evelyn Lucille Johns Slaughenhoupt, who died in 1990.

He was a graduate of Karns City High school. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed Pirate baseball and hunting.

He was employed at Penreco in Karns City for the past 17 years.

In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Garry Michael "Mike" Slaughenhoupt and his wife, Stacey, of Bruin and Karl Scott Slaughenhoupt and his wife, Rayna, of Petrolia; a grandson, Sean M. Slaughenhoupt of Bruin; four step-grandchildren, Megan Furl and her husband, William, of Parker and Brock, Hannah and Bailey Simpson, all of Bruin; a stepsister, Elaine Chadwell and her husband, Jack, of Parker; and several nieces and nephews.

<B>SLAUGHENHOUPT </B>— Friends of Garry Eugene Slaughenhoupt, who died Saturday, June 14, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Richard d. Hillis funeral home, </B>Petrolia. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Link of Saxonburg officiating. Burial will follow at the Bear Creek Cemetery, Petrolia.
