Marie Lillian Blank

Blank

Marie Lillian Blank, 86, of Saxonburg walked into the light Wednesday and the angels in heaven are celebrating her arrival.

Born Jan. 27, 1922, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of William and Eleanora Caldwell Petrie.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Blank was a member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saxonburg, where she was a Prayer Warrior.

She loved hymns and gospel music. She collected hymn books and loved animals, gardening, crossword puzzles, praying for and helping others, being with her family and reading the Bible.

While we will mourn her loss, she would want us to celebrate her home-going with the angels. She is safe in the arms of Jesus.

Surviving are a daughter, Carol Louise Blank of Saxonburg; a brother, William Petrie of Mount Oliver; a sister, Ethel Petrie Leroy of Mount Oliver; and her very dear friend, Lillian Krehely and her honorary granddaughters, Judith Krehely Moore and Jennifer Krehely Hohman.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Louis R. Blank, on Aug. 5, 1969; a daughter, Marie Hazel Blank, on May 31, 1988; siblings, Albert Petrie, Blanche Petrie, Frederick Petrie, Eleanor Petrie Donnelly, Thomas Petrie; and an infant brother, Harry.
