Joseph P. Motko Jr.
Joseph P. Motko Jr., 65, of Butler died Tuesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born in Butler, Aug. 15, 1942, he was a son of Pauline Urnosky Motko and the late Jospeph P. Motko Sr.
A graduate of Butler High School, Joe was a veteran of the Air Force and served during the Vietnam War.
In 1999, he retired from the road department of Butler Township after more than 33 years.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Center Avenue.
Mr. Motko most enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family. He was extremely proud of his son and attending all his sporting events of football, baseball and soccer.
Surviving are his wife, Maria Izdebsky Motko, who he married June 19, 1971, at St. Michael the Archangel Ukrainian Catholic Church in Lyndora; a son, Michael Motko of Butler; his mother of Butler; a sister, Polly Ann (Jim) Falis of McMurray; a brother, David (JoRenee) Motko of Butler; a sister-in-law, Anna Pritts of Butler; eight nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces; and four great-nephews.

Motko Jr., who died Tuesday, June 24, 2008, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>Geibel Funeral Home</B>, 201 E. Cunningham St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 432 Center Ave., with the Rev. James Dolan as celebrant.
