Brodmerkel

Donna Jameson Brodmerkel, 71, of Chicora went to her heavenly home at 12:17 p.m. Wednesday at Butler Memorial Hospital following complications from heart surgery.

Born Dec. 22, 1936, she was the daughter of Edward T. and Olive Jean Spencer Jameson.

She graduated from Karns City High School in 1955 and had worked at Magnetics in East Butler and later was a seamstress at Bobbie Brooks until the plant closed.

Mrs. Brodmerkel was a member of St. Paul's Community Church, Chicora.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Brodmerkel, whom she married May 24, 1957; three sons, Bruce Brodmerkel and his wife, Judy, of Derry, Curt Brodmerkel of Karns City and Chris Brodmerkel and his wife, Rebecca, of Export; two daughters, Beth Beeler and her husband, Dick, of Pittsburgh and Lori Kwasnicka and her husband, Eric, of Louisville, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Chris and Julia Brodmerkel, Ryan and Nathan Delaney, Kate and Kevin Brodmerkel, and Zachary, Tyler and Joshua Kwasnicka; two great-grandchildren, Rose and June Brodmerkel; and a sister, Mary Jane Moore of Harbor Oakes, Fla.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Joanne Strode.

<B>BRODMERKEL</B> — Friends of Donna Jameson Brodmerkel, who died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>STEIGHNER FUNERAL HOME</B>, 111 E. Slippery Rock St., Chicora. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Randall Forester, her church pastor, officiating. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery, Route 268, Chicora.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St Paul's Community Church, Route 268, Chicora, PA 16025.
